Nutrition Place Mat for Weight Management Education Kit Here's an effective,
easy-to-use method for staying on your prescribed meal plan. The Nutrition Place Mat for Weight Management is a sturdy, heavily laminated,
11" by 17" place mat that can be used over and over to apply your plan on a daily
basis. Here's how it works:
When planning your meal, use the wipe-off marker to write down the number of servings for each food category, as indicated on your plan. Then
tally your food choices in each category to track your progress toward your plan's targets. Carbohydrate/energy-food categories - starch and bread, fruit, milk and other carbohydrates - which can be exchanged for each other, are color coded in yellow for easy identification and proper selection. Other food categories - vegetables, meat, fat and free foods - are individually color-coded.
Use the included "Weight Management Tally Sheets" to record your
daily totals for each food category before using a dry cloth or tissue to erase that information from your Place Mat. This will show your daily progress, helping motivate you to stay on your meal plan.
Once erased, the Weight Management Place Mat is ready for use
the next day.
